Pushkar is a popular Hindu pilgrimage center located to the north-west of the Ajmer district in Rajasthan. The town is surrounded by the Nag Pahar hills on three sides forming a border between Pushkar and Ajmer. Though a bus journey is not recommended for long distance travel, one can make a stop at the city of Ajmer and then travel to Pushkar. The nearest railway station, the Ajmer railway station is well connected to most of the major cities nearby and Pushkar is a short drive or bus ride away from here. If you prefer driving, Pushkar is connected to the neighbouring cities with a good network of roads.
